VfL Wolfsburg have signed left back Jerome Roussillon from French outfit Montpellier, the German football club announced on Tuesday. Wolfsburg completed their fifth summer transfer after Roussillon put pen to paper on a four-year deal until June 2022, reports Xinhua news agency.
"Jerome Roussillon is an interesting player because he has experience but still has room for development. He has a tremendous place and is offensively minded as well," Wolfsburg head coach Bruno Labbadia said.
The 25-year-old defender played since 2015 for Montpellier where he provided seven goals in 87 overall appearances. "Agreeing on a transfer abroad now is a big challenge for me which I gladly accept. I am ready for this step and will get used to my new environment as soon as possible. I am very much looking forward to Wolfsburg and the Bundesliga," Roussillon told the club's official home page.
