Captain Musheer Khan's all-round show helped Mumbai beat Maharashtra by 61 runs (via VJD method) in their opening match of the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy at Gurugram Cricket Ground (SRNCC), Sultanpur on Friday.

Put into bat, Mumbai posted 280-5 in 50 overs. Musheer top scored with 72, while Jash Ganiga (61) and Nutan Goel (56 not out) scored half-centuries too. Maharashtra were guilty of conceding 32 extra runs.
Maharashtra managed 114-6 in 27.1 overs when rain stopped play. Musheer was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai with 2-10 in five overs.
