Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma is set to be named India's Test captain for the forthcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka.
It is learnt that Rohit has earned the team's goodwill and they are gelling well while the Board is also happy over the fact that there are less controversies as compared to when Virat Kohli was leading the team.
Kohli, it can be recalled, quit the Test captaincy after India's 1-2 defeat in South Africa.
The selectors are keen to groom Rishabh Pant for a leadership role and there are good chances that he will be named vice-captain. So what happens to KL Rahul, who led India in the Johannesburg Test in the absence of Kohli?

"The Board believes he is not fully matured to be captain yet," said a source. While Rohit is the clear choice, the Board's only concern is his fitness. Hence, the fitness levels of the classy Mumbai batsman will be monitored regularly and all measures will be taken to ensure he is in good shape.
