In a major development, India carried out midnight airstrikes on May 7 targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as part of "Operation Sindoor." The Indian Air Force hit nine sites linked to terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen. The strikes came in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 civilians were killed. Reacting strongly, Pakistan`s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warned that India would "bear the repercussions of its actions." The situation remains tense as both nations closely monitor developments.
