DMK MP Tiruchi Siva condemned the terrorist attack in strong terms and urged the government to take constructive action to prevent similar incidents in the future. Siva highlighted the importance of supporting concrete measures to combat terrorism, stressing that words alone are not enough to address the threat.
Indian Union Muslim League's Haris Beeran echoed the opposition's unified stance, emphasizing their support for the government’s decisions regarding counter-terrorism efforts. In an all-party meeting convened by the government, leaders from all parties assured their cooperation in combating terrorism and taking decisive action against those responsible.
The meeting, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, also discussed the security lapses at the tourist site in Pahalgam, which were highlighted by several opposition leaders. While the government did not outline specific actions during the meeting, opposition leaders assured their support for any concrete steps the government would take to address terrorism.
Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, raised concerns about the lack of security personnel at the attack site and demanded a stronger response to such lapses. Leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and AAP's Sanjay Singh called for action to dismantle terror camps, ensuring that the government takes comprehensive steps to combat terrorism.

The government has since announced strong countermeasures against Pakistan, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and the expulsion of Pakistani officials. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to track down and punish the terrorists responsible for the attack, reaffirming India’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and uphold its national security.
