A Pune techie died after falling from a zipline tower at an adventure park in Bhor tehsil of Pune district in Maharashtra, the police said on Monday, reported the PTI.
The woman IT professional was identified as a 28-year-old Taral Atpalkar, an official said.
The police are investigating whether there was any negligence by the operators at the adventure park.
According to the PTI, the incident occurred on Friday at the Rajgad Water Park Resort in Bhor tehsil when tTaral Atpalkar was preparing to begin her zipline activity.

"She climbed onto a small iron stool while attempting to attach a safety hook to the zipline railing. However, the stool slipped, causing her to lose balance and fall onto another railing about 30 feet below," a police officer said, as per the PTI.
She was rushed to a hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival, the officer added.
A zipline is a cable or rope stretched between two points of different heights, down which a person slides for amusement using a suspended harness, pulley or handle.
Atpalkar, a resident of Dhayri area in Pune district, was accompanied to the resort by her family, police said, the news agency reported.

Meanwhile, in an another incident, as many as three persons were killed and 12 others were injured after a truck crashed into five vehicles on the old Pune-Mumbai highway near Lonavala hill station near Pune in Maharashtra, the police said on Monday, reported PTI.
The incident took place at 10.20 pm on Sunday at Battery Hill near Bor Ghat, the officials said.
The truck apparently suffered a brake failure while descending a slope. It then ran amok and hit five vehicles on the way, a police official said.
"A 10-year-old girl and her father, who were travelling in a car, and another person died in the accident," Lonavla police station's senior inspector Suhas Jagtap told PTI.
Twelve other persons were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital where they were currently undergoing treatment, he added.
Further investigations are underway, police said.
