The month is observed by Muslims worldwide as a period of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community service
It is believed to be the month in which the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad
During the holy month, Muslims fast from dawn (Sehri) to sunset (Iftaar)
Fasting is considered one of the Five Pillars of Islam by Muslims and it is observed mainly to attain self-discipline, spiritual growth, and closeness to Allah
