The IMD predicted that the temperatures were likely to range from a cool 25 degrees Celsius in the morning to a warm 35 degrees Celsius during the day

Santacruz observatory in suburban Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 25.1 degrees Celsius

Many people were on Monday seen shielding themselves with newspapers and handkerchiefs

Mumbai has been witnessing hot weather conditions since last week of February
