Water supply in some parts of Thane district in Maharashtra will be affected for 24-hours due to essential maintenance work, the civic body said in an official statement on Wednesday.
The residents will face a 24-hour water cut due to the maintenance work at the Jambhul Water Purification Plant, operated by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), it said.
Critical repair and maintenance activities will be carried out from 12:00 midnight on Thursday, 24 April 2025, to 12:00 midnight on Friday, 25 April 2025. During this period, there will be no water supply to many areas under the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the officials said.

Diva, Mumbra (excluding parts of Ward No. 26 and 31), Kalwa Ward- all areas, under Vartak Nagar Ward-- Rupadevi Pada, Kisan Nagar No. 2, Nehru Nagar, Majiwada and under Manpada Ward-- Kolseet Khalsa Gaon, the officials said.
The Thane Municipal Corporation has also warned that water pressure may remain low for 1 to 2 days after the supply resumes.
"Citizens are requested to use water carefully and cooperate with the administration during maintenance period," an official said.
Mumbai's eastern suburbs to face water cut this weekend
Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday said that some parts of the eastern suburbs in Mumbai would face a water supply disruptions on Saturday as it has planned various water supply works in Ghatkopar (West).
These works will be undertaken from 10 am on Saturday for a 24-hour period and the water supply in some parts of the N and L Wards will be suspended during this period.
The Mumbai civic body has urged residents in the affected areas to use water sparingly and cooperate with the municipal administration during this water-cut period.

Installation of a 1,200-mm diameter valve on a 1500-mm diameter main water pipeline near Sant Tukaram Bridge in Ghatkopar (West)
Installation of a 1,400-mm diameter valve on the inlet of the Ghatkopar high-level reservoir
Four cross connections (1200mm x 600mm, 1500mm x 600mm, 1500mm x 300mm (2), and 1500mm and 900mm diameter water pipeline leak repairs.
