Maharashtra SSC results 2025 declared: Konkan dominates, Mumbai among top divisions with 95.84 per cent pass rate

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Tuesday announced the results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class 10th examinations. The overall pass percentage for the state stands at an impressive 94.10 per cent.

In a press conference held at the board's headquarters, Chairman Sharad Gosavi announced the key highlights of this year's Maharashtra SSC results 2025.

A total of 1,558,020 regular students had registered for the examination across the nine divisional boards in Maharashtra, including Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan. Out of the 1,546,579 students who appeared for the exams, 1,455,433 successfully passed.

Girls outperform boys: Continuing the trend, girls have once again outperformed boys in the regular student category. The pass percentage for girls is notably higher than that of boys.

Konkan Division Leads, Nagpur Trails:

The Konkan division has emerged as the top-performing region with an outstanding pass percentage of 98.82 per cent. In contrast, the Nagpur division recorded the lowest pass percentage at 90.78 per cent among regular students.

The Maharashtra SSC results 2025 are now available online on the official websites of the Maharashtra Board: mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, and sscresult.mkcl.org. Students will need their roll number and their mother's first name to access their results.

The online marksheet available today is provisional. Students are advised to collect their official mark sheets from their respective schools in due course.

The board has also announced that details regarding the application process for verification of marks and re-evaluation will be released soon. Supplementary examinations for students who did not clear the exam are expected to be held in August 2025.

This year's results indicate a slight decrease in the overall pass percentage compared to the previous year. However, the consistent strong performance of girls and the remarkable achievement of the Konkan division highlight the dedication and hard work of students and educators across the state. Preparations for the next academic year's examinations have already commenced.

2022: 96.94 per cent
2023: 93.83 per cent

Divisional Performance: Konkan leads, Nagpur trails

The Konkan division once again outshone others with a pass percentage of 98.82 per cent, while Nagpur recorded the lowest at 90.78 per cent. Mumbai secured the third position among divisions with a commendable 95.84 per cent.

District highlights

Top Performer: Sindhudurg - 99.32 per cent
Lowest Performer: Gadchiroli - 83.67 per cent

Among differently-abled students, 9,585 appeared for the exams and 8,848 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 92.78 per cent.

Exceptional scores and marginal passes

An impressive 211 students scored a perfect 100 per cent across the state. The Latur division stood out with 113 students achieving full marks, followed by Sambhajinagar with 40.

Meanwhile, only 35 per cent marks were secured by a small number of students, with Mumbai having the highest number in this bracket (67 students) and Konkan recording zero students at this lowest threshold.

Kolhapur: 1,114 schools
Schools with 0 per cent Pass Rate:
Latur: 10 schools
Chatrapati Sambhajinagar: 9 schools
Nagpur: 8 schools
Notably, Mumbai had only 5 schools with zero pass rates, while Konkan and Kolhapur each had just one.
