The body of Dilip Desale, a victim of the Pahalgam terror attack, reached his house in New Panvel in neighbouring Navi Mumbai on Wednesday evening, the police officials said, reported the PTI.

At least 26 persons, most of them tourists, were killed in the attack on Tuesday.
Two of his relatives had flown to Jammu and Kashmir to collect his body. After completing the formalities, the bodies of Desale and another victim were flown to Mumbai, a police official said.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government will provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of the six people who were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The injured will receive an assistance of Rs 50,000, the state government said.
"A special flight is being arranged to bring back the tourists from Maharashtra who are stranded in Kashmir and the state government will bear the cost for it," informed CM Fadnavis.
Condemning the attack, CM Fadnavis said that the Central and the state governments are taking strict measures to curb such cowardly acts. He has also assured all possible support to the families of the victims and the injured.
CM Fadnavis asserted the Modi government will soon hunt down the masterminds of the Pahalgam terror attack and bring them to justice, reported the PTI.
Talking to reporters in Mumbai, CM Fadnavis said that it was disgusting that terrorists opened fire at tourists after asking them their religion.
Terrorists struck at a prime tourist location in Pahalgam town in south Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon, killing at least 26 persons, mostly holiday-makers, and injuring several others.
As many as 6 of the those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack hailed from Maharashtra.
"PM Modi will hunt down the masterminds (of Pahalgam terror attack) and bring them to justice," he said.
CM Fadnavis, who holds the home portfolio, emphasised that the assault was on Indians and there should be no politics over the massacre of innocent civilians.
The entire country is with the people of Kashmir, he affirmed.
