The Vance family, along with other US delegates, arrived at Palam airport in New Delhi, on Monday, April 21. While the couple opted for formal fits, their kids stole the spotlight in Indian ethnic wear but that was not the only highlight, as they took the opportunity to visit some important destinations in India
Shortly after their arrival, the family visited the renowned Akshardham Temple in New Delhi. It is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan and is a spiritually and culturally significant place of worship in India’s capital city
The Vance family visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site Amber Fort in Jaipur on Tuesday, April 22. According to PTI, they received a red-carpet welcome and enjoyed a cultural performance featuring folk dances, including Kacchi Ghodi, Ghoomar and Kalbeliya, offering a glimpse into the vibrant culture of Rajasthan
The next day, they visited the world-famous Taj Mahal in Agra. "The Taj Mahal is amazing. A testament to true love, human ingenuity and a tribute to the great country of India," Vance wrote in the visitor's diary after his visit, according to PTI
Apart from these cultural visits, JD Vance also had diplomatic engagements, including talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and an address at an event in Jaipur. The American VP concluded his India visit on April 24 this week
