Growing up, Apeksha Purohit's father has always been creative but his daughter ended up pursuing electronic engineering and excelled at it. Moving to Dubai in 1997 after getting married, she worked as an electronic engineer in logistics. However, the family had to return to India in 2007

Getting busy with her life, the Santacruz-based mother donned many roles including administration in the family-run business but in the meantime, Apeksha always had this love for Hindi poetry, and used to scribble it in her notebook and phone later

On one such occasion in 2019, her teenage son, who was 16 years at the time, used to play games on her phone, and happened to find her poetry in the Notes app on the phone. While he convinced her to put it out on the Internet on YouTube, Apeksha was a little shy because writing poetry was her personal escape

After a little more convincing, she finally gave into the idea and made the channel with the help of her son and elder daughter. Ever since then and during the Covid-19 pandemic, she not only wrote poetry but also put it out for people to enjoy

While she continues to do her work, she also finds the time to type out her poetry on the phone. It may take days or weeks but Apeksha thoroughly enjoys every moment of this process. Over the years, her two children come together to design the background, which is usually one corner of the house, as she reads the poetry. While she has shown her father her progress, the 47-year-old says she'll truly be happy when she hands over a published book of her poetry to him
