Several pools offer daily passes, with prices ranging from Rs 250 to 700, depending on the location. Before heading out, check with the pool management about preferred timings for daily pass holders (Image for representational purpose only)

Ramsheth Thakur Gymkhana
A bit far from Mumbai, but thanks to the Atal Setu, it’s getting crowded here. While the pool technically requires a member, regular swimmers report that if you build good rapport with the guards, they may let you in with a daily pass all summer.

Time: 7 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 8 pm
Price: Rs 250

The Pranshukhlal Mafatlal, Girgaum
A great spot for a refreshing dip, but access requires a friend with a membership. Avoid Sundays  —  locals warn “bahut gardi rehta hai!” (it gets crowded).

Time: 7 am to 12.30 pm and 4 pm to 8.30 pm
Price: Rs 240

Mumbai Central YMCA
This pool allows non-members, too, provided you’re accompanied by a lifetime/annual member. It’s located at Agripada, the Procter Branch of the YMCA (Image for representational purpose only)

Time: 6 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 8 pm
Price: Rs 250

CBD Belapur YMCA
This large pool offers daily passes — but only for those who arrive on time. It is also a busy pool, thanks to its seasoned lifeguards, locals trust

Time: 6 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 8 pm
Price: Rs 250
