The striking carpet has been made by Kerala's Allepey-based design house Neytt by Extraweave, who has returned to make it for yet another year, after their first one in 2022

At a time when the world is talking about environment-friendly living, they made the eco-conscious, biodegradable carpet for the third consecutive year

The 63,000-square-foot blue carpet was accented by strewn daffodils, cascading floral barricades, and installations that shimmered with water and mirrored the hanging blooms above

The carpet was woven from natural sisal fibers hand sorted from Madagascar in boucle weave transforming into a breathtaking blend of bold heritage and blooming elegance. The team sent out 57 rolls of 4x30 metre for the carpet

With the theme for Met Gala being 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style', it allowed every fashionista to walk on a carpet showcasing Kerala's craftsmanship, and was hand-painted in New York
