'Too late': Netizens hit back at Aamir Khan for delayed praise of Indian armed forces after Operation Sindoor

Aamir Khan has taken to the official page of his production house and praised the Indian armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi last night. This was Aamir Khan's first-ever reaction to Operation Sindoor. Earlier, while he skipped any social media post for the Pahalgam terror attack, he pleaded for justice in an interview. Now, as Aamir has reacted to Operation Sindoor, several netizens have called him out for the late praise.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation last night at 8 p.m., Aamir took to social media and dropped a post on Aamir Khan's production house's page. The note read: "Saluting the heroes of Operation Sindoor. Heartfelt gratitude to our armed forces for their courage, bravery, and unwavering commitment to the security of our nation. Thank you to the Hon'ble Prime Minister for his leadership and resolve. Jai Hind."

Netizens react to Aamir's post

While reacting to his late comment and praise for the Indian armed forces, netizens called him out. One wrote, "Alfaaz dhoond rahe the kya, miya, itne din?" Another user commented, "Too late to stand for the country! Every time, people are disappointed by their on-screen hero." "I hope you feel safe in India now. Our army is doing everything to safeguard our country," a third one commented.

Previously, while addressing the tragic Pahalgam attack during an ABP event, Aamir Khan said, "We need justice and assurance that it [terrorist attacks] won't happen again. We believe in our government, they'll take action against the anti-social elements who committed this and bring them to justice."

About Operation Sindoor

Retaliating against the Pahalgam attack, Indian armed forces carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke.

The military strikes were conducted under Operation Sindoor two weeks after the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians. The nine targets struck under Operation Sindoor - four in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir - were chosen by the IAF after receiving intelligence inputs about terror camps operating under the guise of health centres to evade detection at these sites, officials said on Wednesday.

The Indian Ministry of Defence, in a statement issued at 1:44 a.m. IST, confirmed the launch of Operation Sindoor, stating:
"A little while ago, the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor,' hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed."
