The world must stand united against the evil of terror. Let's not fall prey to propaganda that tries to divide us, this is not a war against any religion or nation, it's a war against terror". "Operation Sindoor is a revenge for the tears of the widows of India and a stern warning to the terrorists that their evil deeds will no longer go unpunished", he added.
Praising the armed forces for giving a befitting response after the Pahalgam attack, Mohanlal wrote on his official X account, "We wore Sindoor not just as a tradition, but as a symbol of our unwavering resolve. Challenge us and we will rise, fearless and stronger than ever. Saluting every brave heart of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and BSF. Your courage fuels our pride. Jai Hind!"

Mammootty mentioned on his official X handle, "Salute to our Real heroes! #OperationSindoor proved again, When the nation calls, The #IndianArmy answers. Thank you for saving lives and restoring hope. You Make The Nation Proud. Jai Hind !"
Pawan Kalyan shared a note in Hindi on social media that read, "Where there is no valor, there is the decay of virtue. Where there is no valor, selfishness triumphs. - Dinakar Decades of endurance... endurance! To the brave leadership of the three armed forces, who, after excessive endurance, rekindled the spirit of valor in the entire nation of India through âOperation Sindoor', and to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, who stood unwaveringly with them, heartfelt thanks...!! We are with you, always. Jai Hind!!"
Prominent figures from the film and television industries took to social media to salute the courage, precision, and professionalism of the Indian armed forces. Celebrities such as Ajay Devgn, Chiranjeevi Konidela, Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Anupam Kher, and Vidya Balan were among the many who expressed heartfelt tributes and support for the operation.
The operation, which was greenlit following a high-level security meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29, included strikes on key strongholds of banned terror outfits. As per PTI, these included Jaish-e-Mohammad's base in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's sprawling markaz in Muridke, located near Lahore. Additional targets in PoK included Kotli and Muzaffarabad, regions known to host camps and training grounds for both LeT and JeM.
The Indian Ministry of Defence, in a statement issued at 1:44 am IST, confirmed the launch of Operation Sindoor, stating: "A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched âOperation Sindoor,' hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed."
The strikes, the ministry noted, were "focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature," and did not target any Pakistani military facilities. "India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and method of execution," the official statement said.
All nine targets were successfully hit, and the operation was being monitored closely by Prime Minister Modi. The name âSindoor' symbolically references the red vermilion worn by married Hindu women - a poignant tribute given that several women lost their husbands in the Pahalgam attack, including an Indian Navy officer.
