Three songs from the film Dam 999, composed by veteran Kerala-based National Award winning composer Ousephachan's (who composes for most Malayalam films) are part of the final 39 songs selected for the Academy's Original Songs category.

Interestingly, this is Ousepachchan's first English film and though the film did not manage to garner great response, the music obviously has. Theu00a0 Oscar nominations will be announced on January 24.
