Celebs who opted for surrogacy

Indo-Canadian actress Lisa Ray welcomed her twn daughters- Sufi and Soleil- via surrogacy in 2018. Ray, married to her longtime partner Jason Dehni, could not carry her children because of her medication for multiple myelona (a form of blood cancer).

In January 2022, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas surprised their fans with an Instagram post announcing the arrival of their baby girl, Malti Marie. Over time, Priyanka has spoken about the difficulties around the birth of their daughter as she was born pre-mature. But all's good now and Priyanka has been balancing motherhood and her professional commitments like a boss and setting the right example for her little one

Soon after her dreamy wedding with Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara surprised all with the announcement of the arrival of their twin boys. Their surprise announcement in 2022 sparked controversy with the Tamil Nadu government initiating a probe to check if any surrogacy laws were violated in the process of welcoming their kids. The couple then submitted proof of registration of their marriage in 2016 and opting for surrogacy in December 2021. Sunny Leone is mother to three kids. After adopting a girl child with her husband Daniel Weber, the couple welcomed their twin boys in 2018 via surrogacy. 

In a statement, the actress had said, "We chose to do surrogacy with a fertilised egg from Daniels genes and my genes. Asher and Noah are our biological children and God sent us a angel surrogate to carry our boys until they were born" .They now have three children: Nisha, Noah, and Asher. 

 

Gauri Khan became a mother for the third time as she and her husband Shah Rukh Khan welcomed their youngest child AbRam via surrogacy. In 2013, the couple turned to surrogacy after reportedly failing to conceive naturally. The power couple opting for surrogacy helped break the stigma around the process and embracing motherhood through alternate forms of pregnancy

Seema Sajdeh and her ex-husband Sohail Khan also opted for surrogacy to welcome their second child, Yohaan in 2011. They opted for the method after failing to conceive naturally
